Steps to choose the correct Vibra-check anti-vibration pad
I. For machines with the same load on each foot:
MACHINE WEIGHT
A) FORMULA: = WEIGHT IN POUNDS FOR EACH MACHINE FOOT
MACHINE FEET
POUNDS PER MACHINE FOOT
B) FORMULA: = WEIGHT IN POUNDS FOR EACH MACHINE FOOT
MACHINE FEET SUPPORT
(PSI'S)
II. FOR INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT WITH MOUNT UNIFORMLY LOADED
Divide the weight of the machine between the area of the base's edge to determine the pounds per square inch (PSI'S)
1) For PSI'S greater than 10, use your selection of Vibra-Check pad below the entire area's edge.
2) If the PSI'S is inferior to 10, you will require intermitent mounting pads, select the number of mounting pads you will use. This weight per pad must be divided between the width of the machine border's edge between the length of the pad and the result will be in pounds per square inch. If the PSI's is still inferior to 10, look for it to exceed 10 by reducing the number of support pads or the length of each one.
III. FOR INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT WITH UNEQUAL WEIGHT
Determine the weight of each foot and follow the instructions from step I.
NOTA: For impact equipment multiply by two the calculated load and proceed to choose the correct Vibra-Check mounting pad.
